6 (a has served Sunny, 1d DAYTON DAILY NEWS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27., 1996 DEATHS ELSEWHERE Nicu Ceausescu: Youngest son of the late Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu; Thursday in an Austrian hospital where he had been treated for internal bleeding, doctors said. Mr. Ceausescu, 45, who had cirrhosis of the liver, was the youngof three children of Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu, the Communists who ruled Romania for a -century. His parents were executed by a firing squad after a hurried trial on Christmas Day 1989. Mr.

Ceausescu was charged with genocide for his role in trying to put down the 1989 anticommunist revolt in Sibiu, the Transylvanian city he ruled. He served three years of a 20-year prison sentence before being released in November 1993 on health grounds. He was pardoned the next year along with other former Communists imprisoned after the revolution. William John Curran: A public health attorney and Harvard University professor who helped establish health law as a specialty; of cancer Sunday in Falmouth, Mass. He was 71.

Mr. Curran taught at the Harvard schools of medicine and public health and was director of the Harvard-World Health Organization International Collaborating Center on Health Legislation, which he helped establish in 1986. He was responsible for drafting the International Guidelines for Legislation on the Treatment of Drugs and Alcohol for WHO in 1976, Mr. Curran also helped write laws in Massachusetts covering death investigations, anatomical donations and state sanitary Mr. Curran wrote, edited or coedited 16 books and more than 100 articles and chapters.

His textbook, Law and Medicine, was the basic text in the field of health artistic director of the Bel Canto Opera Company, known for producing unusual operatic works; of cancer Saturday in Mamaroneck, N.Y. He was 71. Born in China, Mr. Sieh immigrated to the United States in 1955. He founded the opera company in 1969.

The company put on usually overlooked works such as Auber's Manon Lescaut, composed in 1856, and the witty Barbiere di Siviglia, written in 1780. Mr. Sieh left the company in 1985, but returned to direct Lakme in 1991. William S. Clark: A rheumatologist who helped the March of Dimes change its focus from polio to birth defects; of kidney failure Sunday in New York.

He was 81. An expert on arthritis, Dr. Clark joined the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis in 1958 and soon became its medical director. The group changed its name to the National Foundation-The March of Dimes as polio cases declined. He helped set up special treatment centers nationwide to handle birth defects and juvenile arthritis.

From 1964 to 1970, he was president of the Arthritis Foundation. Then he went back into practice, becoming medical director at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in 1975. He was chief of rheumatology at the hospital from 1979 until 1988. William S.

Vaughn: Former chairman and president of Eastman Kodak Co. who oversaw the company's expansion from the photographic business into petrochemicals, fibers and plastics; Friday in Rochester, N.Y. He was 93. Vaughn's career at Kodak spanned 45 years. He became chairman of Kodak's board of directors in 1967, retiring in 1970.

Hanover departed this life on Sept. 24th. He retired from Frigidaire after many years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover C. Mary E.

Main St with Pastor P. Daniel Fant officiating. The family will receive friends from to 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. KRAWCZESKI, Richard a long time resident of Beavercreek passed away Sunday, September 15, and was placed to rest in his hometown of Herkimer, NY.

Richard is survived by his wife, Clara, whom he married in 1961. He is also survived by his son, Rick; daughter, Sharon Wilhelm and son-in-law, David, as well as his father, brother and sister. Richard was employed at WPAFB through his retirement in 1993. Richard was an active member of St. Luke's Parrish which will hold a memorial service Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 AM after which the family will receive friends at Bishop Ford Hall at the church.

LARKIN, Francis E. age 81 of Brookfield, Missouri, formerly of Dayton, a devoted father, an Electrical Construction Supervisor who worked on high tension electric lines and substations throughout the nation and in particularly a all overthe West, died Sunday, September 22, 1996 in Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield. Mr. Larkin, who was an active member in the Elks, was the widower of his wife of 54 years, Sarah E.
